Revised Account (version 2.0)

Call type distribution maps were compiled by Matthew Young using knowledge of major crossbill audio collections, conifer distributions and phenologies, published literature, and documented records. Peter Pyle contributed plumage and molt descriptions in the Appearance article and Michael Patten contributed some of the text for the Systematics article. Andrew Spencer put the still spectrograms together and helped edit some recordings in the account. Tom Hahn and Jamie Cornelius provided extensive and helpful reviews of the account.
